“Thank you” comes few and far between in EMS. Patients occasionally thank first responders, who definitely deserve it. They work in all climates, all environments, and whenever called. Behind the scenes, EMS billers and supporting staff are even less likely to receive recognition for their dedication and hard work.
EMS billing staff constantly juggle the pressures of declining reimbursement rates, Medicare partial payments, missing paperwork, rejections, denials, and compliance reviews.
So today, we say thank you to all EMS billers and support staff. Thank you for all you do to keep EMS agencies financially solid so that first responders can focus on patient care in our communities.
